POSITION:
Sukošan – Marina Dalmacija

Sunny – wind - moderate SE
DESCRIPTION:
From early morning (Bulgarian bus) people started to arrive
in Sukošan Marina in front of Adriatic charter where all boats
(Bavaria 34, Bavaria 36) were moored.
Ericssion was sponsor of ‘Check in party’, and for that event
they prepared a bar with cold drinks and kanapes which were served
in little sport sailing boat – Laser!
Welcome dinner was served in restaurant “Gajeta” near the regatta
peer. After introducing video and returning of the winner trophy
from Alesandar Marković (Vipnet1) the party sponsored by NOKIA
could start. People enjoyed in Cocktails
and dancing for long in the night…
4.10.2006.
POSITION:
Sukošan – Marina Dalmacija
WEATHER:
Cloudy – wind - strong SE
DESCRIPTION:
What a nightmare for organization, the worst scenario is
happening! Strong SE more than 30 knots in open see. Regatta committee
decide to delay any decision until 12.00.
In 12.00 decision was declared – it is forbidden to leave the
harbor. Soon we have a really strong proof why. A strong storm
with rain and very strong wind hits the Sukošan.
But people didn’t lose their good mood and after dinner we had
party again. It was Nortel karaoke party.
DESCRIPTION:
After the rain always comes the sun… Beautiful and clear
day, early start (8.00) we have today 50 miles to reach Skradin..
and we have one race.
Around 19.00, before dark all boats were in ACI marina Skradin.
All guests were impressed with beautiful and peaceful town of
Skradin. Dinner in old Dalmatian Konoba (“Toni”) was waiting for
us at 20.30 – the menu was tipical Dalmatian meat meal with name
-“Peka”. That is a sort of oven in
the middle of fire. Inside is lamb meat with vegetables, potatoes
and with some secret spices.
In skippers bar “Arka” in the front of the regatta peer everything
was prepared for another party – Traditional Siemens ‘Beer party’,
after ceremony of day winner announcement (Hans Portschy – he
had 3 first places in mag regatta history, the only one better
is Marković Vipnet1 with 5 cups)- people start to party again
(never tired of party’s ?).

Skradin ACI marina – Vodice

Sunny – light to moderate wind NW
DESCRIPTION:
Early breakfast in marina and skippers meeting, almost
all people went in tour in National Park “Krka falls” the departure
was planed in 12.30.
Regatta photograph (Stefano) was waiting for us on the big highway
bridge to take group photo and video of entire regatta. What a
feeling to see 40 boats with 260 people under the bridge – this
is one of the best moments in all mag regatta history!
After that all boats went to Prokljan
lake to have a second race. This triangle race on Prokljan was
first regatta race in that lake in history!!!
Regatta comitte decides that second race of the day will be near
Vodice because of strong wind.
So finally after the dinner we had more results to talk about…
The man who wrote history as first skipper which won on Prokljan
lake is Christian Nehammer from mags 2 team (we hope that he will
also write history in Peking on Olympic games).
Second race winner was Aleksandar Marković - Vipnet1 team. And
leader in overall standings at that time was surprisingly Davor
Pribanić Ericsson Nikola Tesla.

Vodice - Sukošan

DESCRIPTION:
Last day and decision of the MAG regatta winner was in
the air! The best hints were Portschy and Marković, Koblmiller
is always near but newer first, Prbianić was the best surprise
of regatta but is his crew ready to become a champion…
And what happened in the end is that Croatian team has a bed day
(Marković 11, Pribanić 9), Portchy was near but not enough and
the winner is…..Gunter Hipfinger from Siemens Slovenia!
After arriving in Sukošan harbour, bus transfer was there to take
a guests to the spectacular ‘Winner night’ in city of Zadar in
great bar “Arsenal”. What more to say? (see the pictures). Best
regards for the winners and see you all again in SPRING time next
year…
