POSITION: Primošten – Marina Kremik

WEATHER: Sunny – wind - moderate NW

DESCRIPTION: From early morning (Bulgarian bus) people started to arrive in Primošten in front of Sunsail charter where regatta info place was. Part of the boats were moored there (Oceanis 393), and the rest of the boats were moored by Mande charter (Salona 37r) Skippers checked-in, and with their crews went on see for couple of training days. Only scheduled thing for them was to come in Vodice on 15.5.2007. until 14.00. So they had full 3 days for preparation of the boats and the crew. Next day, 13.5.2007 almost all boats went away, except one which we noticed…That boat was Nokia Siemens Networks 4 boat with their favorite crew (Hipfinger, Portchy, Polster…) They were checking and measuring their mast and riggings almost whole day…

POSITION: Vodice – Marina Vodice

WEATHER: Sunny – wind - strong W

DESCRIPTION: At about 16.00 hours almost all teams arrived to Vodice, where especially for MAG regatta, in the front of Hotel Olympia, on the beach, MAG regatta tent/lounge was built. It took two days to build 150 m2 large tent. Its purpose was to have one nice place for after regatta socializing and for networking events. After dinner in Hotel Olympia, opening ceremony with champagne (sponsored by Nokia-Siemens-Networks) started by the pool of Hotel Olympia, where last years winner Mr. Gunter Hipfinger was invited to bring back MAG regatta trophy and to take starting number 1. After ceremony everybody was invited to MAG regatta tent where Alcatel sponsored “free beer for sailors” as they did every following day.

POSITION: Vodice – Marina Vodice

WEATHER: Sunny – wind - small mistral NW

DESCRIPTION: Finally 1st race can start, every body knows who are favorites: new company and team Nokia Siemens Networks 4 and Vipnet 1 team. Third favorite Mobilkom 2 was without their skipper Mr.Koblmiller… This 1.race was navigation race about 25 nm long. Direction was to National park “Kornati” and back to Vodice. From early beginning Nokia Siemens Networks 4 took the lead and staid on that position until the end of the race. First win for NSN 4 – no body was surprised – but they seemed very, very happy. Second place was taken by a young skipper who was substitute for Mr.Koblmiller – Mr.Michael Harald, on the third place big favorites VIPnet 1, and in first five was like we expect Boštijan Zaveršek from Si.mobil. Good surprise was Bulgarian team Mobiltel 4 with skipper Kostov – every year they improve their skills… After the race, from 16.00 hours, in MAG regatta tent everything was prepared for something totally different - Cooking contest. The goal was to make the best “Buzara” (sea shells dish on Dalmatian way). VIPnet 1, Croatian team was favorite here and on this field they won! Many thanks to sponsor of this nice event Starhome!

POSITION: Vodice – Marina Vodice

WEATHER: Sunny – wind - moderate mistral NW

DESCRIPTION: This day was the day of decision, because there weres 2 races… What a nice day…!!! I can say this was the nicest day in the history of MAG regatta. Weather was perfect, wind fantastic. Two triangles races start in front of MAG regatta tent, everybody could watch from the shore. In both races NSN 4 won – so we had the winner, again Mr. Guntter Hipfinger!! The favorites remained on former places. After regatta races in MAG tent (or actually in front of MAG tent) everything was ready for next race - laser dingy match-race. Wow!! How much fun we had watching that battle… and how much surprised we were when we saw how much good sailors we have in regatta. The wind was pretty strong for that class, after 8 matches we had skipper Kršanac from Huawei (who sail in twins with his lady crew member) and Alan Šegota from VIPnet in the final. After great battle Kršanac won, but MVP of the regatta was for sure Mr.Avramov who fell many times but newer surrendered! After that in MAG tent we had Quiz show – lots of laughing, and fun – in the end winner was again Huawei team.

POSITION: Vodice – Marina Vodice

WEATHER: Sunny – Very strong - Bora NE

DESCRIPTION: Very strong Bora started during the night and had its final during the day. Like everybody already knew, race for that day was canceled. Sailing out was also temporary paused from Harbor master. Every body was wearing safety waistcoat, and prepare to go out on strong Bura which on some times was almost 40 knots in the harbor. About 13.00 hours everybody went out and sailed away to Primošten, where they made check-out and went back to Vodice by car or by bus. There we had final winner night. So the winner was Nokia Siemens Networks 4 with skipper Gunther Hipfinger, Vipnet 1 was on the seconde place and “bronze” went to Mobilkom 2 with skipper Michaled Harald. Special congratulation goes to only lady team – Nokia Siemens Networks 1 with she skipper Andrea Haulaitner. After winner show crew of NSN took his skipper Gunther and throw him in the swimming pool... The band was playing and “Elvis” was playing long in the night…
