DESCRIPTION: on this sunny, but very windy morning crews started to arrive in Biograd (Adriatic challenge charter) where Bavaria 42Match boats were moored and Primošten (Sunsail, Dalmacija charter, ...) where Oceanis 393 boats and one Salona 37 were moored. After the skippers made boats check in they were ready to sail out. On May 18th almost all boats went out except Vinet 2, Vipnet 1, Kapsch, Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia Siemens Networks 2 and Huawei which arrived on Sunday or even Monday.
Our brave sailors had to fight against the strong south wind for three days ... Whispers of the Wind, we might say ...

DESCRIPTION: some of the crews were in Marina Vodice already, some of them arrived on May 20th. As the wind was very strong few crews had problems entering Marina, which is normal regarding to conditions. Just like the last year, mag regatta tent was waiting for the participants on the beach, in front of hotel Olympia. After dinner in hotel Olympia, opening ceremony with champagne & strawberries started in the mag regatta tent. Mr. Gunther Hipfinger, last two years winner, was invited to bring back the mag regatta trophy and the party started.

DESCRIPTION: 1st race! 2nd race! Both races were triangle races.
Big favorite, Mr.Gunther Hipfinger (NSN 1) won the 1st place in Bavaria 42M fleet again and the big surprise, Mr. Milenko Alcin (HP crew) won the 1st place in Oceanis 393 fleet.
Mr.Gunther Hipfinger (NSN 1) also won the 1st place if we are talking about overall results.
2nd place was taken by Mr. Goran Pleše (Vipnet 3), on the 3rd place
Mr. Michael Harand (mobilkom 2).
From 16.00 hours the mag regatta tent was place to be.
Cooking contest, grinder competition...
Cooking contest - ''Dalmatian risotto''... cooks of the day were Vipnet 4 and IBM CRO crews!
Many thanks once again to ERICSSON who was sponsor of COOKING CONTEST!
On that day one thing shade the great atmosphere on mag regatta, Dinko Bunčić from Vipnet 2 team was badly hurt and injured. He was hit by the boom and he fell in the wavy sea.
Hero of the day and regatta was Mr. Nenad Nakić from the team Kapsch Serbia who, without any thinking, jumped into the sea and saved Dinko’s life and who was without conscience.
Dinko is getting better every day.

DESCRIPTION: Breakfast and skippers meeting, like every day.
2 races again. 3rd (navigation race) and 4th (triangle race)!
Mr. Johann Wolfgang (Alcatel-Lucent) won the 1st place, Mr. Aleksandar Markovic (Vipnet 1) was on the 2nd place and the 3rd place, on the 3rd race, was taken by Mr. Goran Pleše (Vipnet 3).
Mr. Gunther Hipfinger (NSN 1) won the 1st place on the 4th race, Mr. Thomas Foerster (Motorola) won the 2nd place and the 3rd place was taken by Mr. Goran Pleše (Vipnet 3) again.
After a long and hard day it was time for the mag regatta tent, mag regatta events.
News from the hospital about Dinko were better so the atmosphere was also much better then the day before.
As weather was fine we gathered on the beach and enjoyed the dingy match race – Mr. Emil Peloza (Vipnet 3) and Mr. Henrik Norgaard (Mobiltel/Vipnet) were in the final and showed great sailing skills... At the end Mr. Emil Peloza was better and won the 1st place!
After that we had lots of fun watching mag regatta quiz (Starhome thank you very much!)
After dinner - DANCING, DANCING! So much fun, good vibration, lots of laugh... we would like to thank all of you who showed us how to do that! ''Elvis'' has left the building! Again great party in the mag regatta tent!

DESCRIPTION: This was the D-Day! Last race!
The question was will NSN 1, together with Mr. Gunther Hipfinger, take the trophy forever or will the trophy stay at home - Vipnet 3 had a great chance after first three races.
This day is also known as management day. We are very happy that we could host some of the most important people of mobilkomaustria group and it's partners companies.
They enjoyed sailing on beautiful Beneteau 57 boat called ''Mon Chery'' and watched regatta.
After triangle race finished the crews sailed back to
Primošten or Biograd where they made boats check out and went back to Vodice.
We had dinner in the hotel Olympia and afterwards WINNER'S NIGHT in the mag regatta tent.
THE WINNER, after long discussion between regatta comitee and the crews who made apeals, was Vipnet 3 with skipper Mr. Goran Pleše, mobilkom 2 ahead with Mr. Michael Harand won 2nd place and on the 3rd place was Mr. Gunther Hipfinger, winner of mag regatta 2006 and 2007, together with his crew, NSN 1!
The music band ANGELS was playing all night long and all of us had a great time.
